Prior to Installation

During the production process we use recirculated water to cool the steel molds. As a result some of the boards may have a brownish streak down their center - a residue of water with some rust. This streak is easily removed with any common household cleaner and a nylon or plastic bristled brush.

Periodical Cleaning

Again, use any common household cleaner and a nylon or plastic bristled brush. Do not use metal bristled brushes, steel wool, scouring pads or sand paper - unless you are repairing a damaged area (a cigarette burn, for example). When you have finished sanding off a damaged area, lightly sand again with course sand paper to match the original surface finish.
