ALTWOOD® is tough enough for nearly all agricultural and animal husbandry applications. After installation, it never requires maintenance or refinishing and it is extremely resistant to abrasion. It is also non-toxic, so it won't leach chemicals into the soil like pressure-treated lumber, and it is chemically inert. It won't rot, rust, splinter, split and it can be cleaned and/or sterilized easily because it is non-porous.
